About
What has been hailed as the best graphic novel about sales ever created by two individuals from Massachusetts.
How did it get started, you ask? Well…
During a series of lengthy car trips, Tom expressed his ambition to expand his brand and elevate his consulting practice to a broader audience. In discussions, Peter suggested a graphic novel approach to effectively convey stories and capture the essence of sales.
With Tom's proficiency in organizing a Google document, managing artwork payments, and utilizing Zoom, the team initiated the planning process. The envisioned concept aimed to be gritty, fun, dark, and visceral, with unpredictable endings. Upon finding Eli, who captured the essence of the graphic novel, the team collaborated to produce what has been hailed as the best Graphic Novel about sales ever created by two individuals from Massachusetts.
tom stearns
Tom Stearns has spent his career building, fixing, and scaling sales and marketing teams. Over the past decade, he’s advised CEOs, CROs, and heads of sales at growth-stage companies through enterprise, helping them build outbound engines, avoid costly mis-hires, professionalize sales orgs, and drive performance through strategy, training, and execution.
His work has directly contributed to eight successful exits (so far), and clients seek him out when something critical isn’t working and they need a clear-eyed, trusted adviser to cut through the noise and get the team unstuck. Tom’s strength lies in blending big-picture strategy with in-the-weeds execution.
He’s the cocreator of Graphic Sales Stories and the founder of a widely used online sales training platform that’s helped hundreds of reps master cold calling, email, discovery, and objection handling (without wanting to gouge their eyes out).
Tom attributes his professional success to a deep-seated determination—the same drive that pushes him to master skateboarding or tackle the technical complexities of the accordion. He is naturally drawn to hobbies that demand intense practice, focus, and unwavering commitment. It’s that focus and determination that helped raise two wonderful kids with his loving wife, Maura.

peter cleary
After graduating with a history degree and a mountain of student debt, Peter quickly realized his options were limited: take on even more debt for law school, enter the classroom as a teacher, or dive into the world of sales to finally make some money.
He chose the third path, beginning a career that took him from the grueling world of door-to-door cable sales (which is exactly as fun as it sounds) into the heights of sales management. From there, he transitioned into sales engineering leadership and eventually specialized in building enablement teams, including overseeing IT development.
Having sold through the dot-com bubble and the housing market crash and managed through the COVID-19 crisis, Peter found himself gravitating toward what he loved most, storytelling. After years of reliving horrific yet hilarious lessons from the trenches with his colleague Tom, the two decided to channel those experiences into what is now being heralded as “the only Graphic Sales Storybook on the market!”
Today, Peter credits his career in sales for the life of happiness and joy he shares with his wife and three daughters.
